Shipt originally launched its partnership with H-E-B in San Antonio in May of 2016, and has since expanded to service 14 markets in Texas. To celebrate the expansion, new Shipt members who sign up prior to the launch in these areas will receive $50 off an annual membership (normally $99).
“In the past year, we’ve seen tremendous growth with H-E-B, an incredible partner and beloved retailer in the state of Texas. Together, our latest expansion brings the simplicity and convenience of grocery delivery to more families across the state,” said Bill Smith, founder and CEO of Shipt. “Moving into the new year, we are as committed as ever to serving our retail partners, including H-E-B. We plan to continue expanding rapidly across the country to bring the magic of Shipt to as many families as possible.”
Shipt’s marketplace will deliver the full selection of items from H-E-B, giving customers the ability to browse their local stores’ aisles online, and access to various categories featuring healthy ingredients, seasonal selections, and inspiration for quick, easy meals.
“We continue to expand services with Shipt to reach even more H-E-B customers throughout Texas, providing them with a new way to access the quality produce and products H-E-B is known for,” said Paul Tepfenhart, Group Vice President of Omnichannel Retail for H-E-B. “This expansion marks our continued commitment to serving communities across our great state.”
Shipt connects members with a community of Shoppers who handpick their items and deliver them as soon as one hour after the order is placed. Leading up to the expansion, Shipt plans to grow their network of Shoppers, who are responsible for ensuring complete, accurate fulfillments of each order.
