Song Joong Ki is known to be friends with a number of superstar Korean actors like Jo In Sung and Lee Kwang Soo so when it was revealed that Reddy whose real name is Kim Hong Woo is also friends with Song Hye Kyo’s husband, many were surprised. This is because Reddy is a rapper and there is no link between him and the “Descendants of the Sun actor in the world of showbiz.
According to Soompi, Reddy used to be Song Joong Ki’s close friend in middle and early high school. However, their friendship was cut-off after the former dropped out of school and moved to Seoul from Daejeon.
Since then, the “Show Me the Money 777” contestant lost touch with his friends in the province and did not meet Song Joong Ki again. The rapper said that he was shocked when he saw his friend on TV when back in their hometown, Song Hye Kyo’s husband definitely showed that he has no interest in entering show business.
Reddy said that all that Song Joong Ki knows and interested in at that time were soccer, school, and friends so he was surprised to see him as an actor. "I went to middle school with him, and we entered high school together but I dropped out and lost contact with many of my Daejeon friends."
He went on to say, "What's amazing is that Joong Ki was a friend who didn't have any interest in the entertainment industry. Studying, soccer and friends were his only interests, but I turned on the TV one day and Joong Ki was an actor."
Meanwhile, Block B’s P.O. revealed his fanboying side once again when he posted a photo of himself and Song Hye Kyo. The idol often expressed his admiration to the actress and he always praised her beauty in interviews that is why when he got the chance to take a picture with Song Joong Ki’s wife, he was totally happy because it was actually one of his wishes, as per AllKpop. P.O. and Hye Kyo worked briefly via “Encounter.”
