Starbucks Corporation is bridging the gap between philanthropy and digital collectibles by partnering with Micah Johnson's Aku NFT Project. The venture, which integrates with Starbucks' web3 Odyssey loyalty program, features exclusive Aku NFTs and donates to the "Blessings in a Backpack" charity.

The collaboration involves Starbucks' web3 loyalty program called the Odyssey, and it will feature the non-fungible token collection Aku for their digital Stamp collectible, which is set to be released soon. What’s more, the coffee chain is also donating $100,000 to the non-profit organization called “Blessings in a Backpack.” This charity is dedicated to helping children by working for childhood food insecurity, according to Forbes India.

Former Major League Baseball player, Micah Johnson, is at the forefront of the upcoming Aku NFT collection. It was created to empower children to aim high and dream big for their future.

It was mentioned that some well-known celebrities such as Tyra Banks, Pusha T, and Trevor Noah have invested in digital collectibles from this Aku NFT Collection.

Starbucks will be dropping the newest Odyssey Journey, "Aku Adventure," on July 17, and the company is inviting members of its loyalty program to join in the charitable mission with Aku. Aku specially designed the Stamp, and Odyssey members will be able to join in this exclusive experience until Aug. 13.

CoinDesk further reported that this project is also part of Starbucks' limited edition NFTs that can only be owned by the members because it is an invitation-only Odyssey loyalty program. The company previously released its “The Siren Collection,” which is exclusive for invited members as well and each of the 2,000 Stamp was offered for $100. Finally, in April, it also launched “The Starbucks First Store Collection,” at that time, the 5,000 Stamp collection that cost $99 each was rolled out.
