“Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29 will mark the start of finale special that will air for an hour. There will be four stories in all so episodes 30 to 32 will air consecutively and will end the Diamond Days event as well.
“Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29 has been titled “Battle of Heart and Mind” and as per the description of this chapter, Steven will confront the biggest challenge in his life. For a season-ending, this plot fits very well because it seems to be suggesting that the main character would be involved in an ultimate battle and he will probably win in the end.
True enough, the latest “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29 teaser shows Steven and Diamonds back in a war. But at some point, he was shown wearing his own jeans and shirt ensemble and this could mean that he is done with how the Diamonds view see him as.
They believe that Steven should just be the Pink Diamond that he really is but apparently, he is not so fond of this idea. As a result, it can be assumed that he just went back home so he can be his usual self again in “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29.
Likewise, Steven is at odds with the Diamonds and even if he tried to settle things nicely through friendly argument, he failed. Thus, the only option left for them was combat and this was highlighted in the “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29 video teaser.
The fight came about because even if Steven has shown his willingness to embrace who he is – as Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond, Blue and Yellow Diamond were not impressed because for them, he is a mere Pink Diamond who always creates trouble and needs to be punished. Fans will get to see what will happen to Steven in “Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29. Will he win the battle or just forget everything about the Gem Homeworld?
“Steven Universe” season 5 episode 29 is set to air on Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. on Cartoon Network. Watch the “Battle of Heart and Mind” trailer below:
