“We are very excited about launching the WKT through our Entertainment Division," said SuperBox, Inc. CEO Russell Stuart, who will also be at the helm of the new company. “Karaoke is one of the largest participation activities in the world and will now have a truly global and professionally organized competitive structure for the very first time.”
The WKT will host singers from around the globe in major international tournaments, national championships, city-wide qualifiers, local leagues and special events throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The WKT League division is designed to develop the talent and skills of up-and-coming performers. Singers accumulate points via events held around the world in WKT sanctioned venues. For those singers who are ready for a challenge they may jump to a sanctioned city tournament qualifier, which take place several times throughout the year. Winners of the city events qualify for international tournaments where they can compete for cash and other prizes. The top singers who perform at both league and tournament levels and accumulate enough points will qualify for the year-end World Championships.
2017 Pre-registration is now open at www.worldkaraoketour.com
