‘The 100’ Season 6 Air Date, Spoilers: Premiere Date is Out Plus Episode Schedules for the US and Canada Broadcast

The 100

“The 100” season 6 was renewed in May last year and filming of this sci-fi drama wrapped up just last month. Now, the release date is finally revealed and this is good news for fans who have been eagerly waiting for the new episodes.

What’s on Netflix reported that “The 100” season 6 will be out on April 30 on CW channel. Then again, it should be noted that the release on the streaming site will vary a bit from the original airing date and time.

Based on the schedule that was posted on What’s on Netflix, “The 100” season 6 will air via Netflix Canada a day after an episode is aired on CW. However, for Netflix US, subscribers will need to wait until all the episodes are released on the TV network before it can be released on the US platform of the streaming site. This means that it will arrive around August.

It was predicted that “The 100” season 6 will only have 13 episodes thus airing on CW would end in July. Apparently, the Canadian Netflix subscribers have more advantage since there is only one-day time difference from CW’s original broadcast schedule.

With regards to the plot of “The 100” season 6, the viewers will be treated to unexpected storylines as it promises big twists and as executive producer, Jason Rothenberg, said a “whole new adventure” awaits the viewers.

“I did have an endpoint in mind, and that endpoint has been reached, and yet we broke a whole new story wide open,” Rothenberg told Entertainment Weekly. “When this season comes to an end, it sets up a whole new adventure in a way that surprised me.”

He added, “We do keep reinventing the show every year — every year is a new adventure, a new set of bad guys, a new set of goals for our heroes. I think the twist at the end of this season is bigger than anything we’ve done in the past, let’s put it that way.”

Finally, “The 100” season 6 will present a massive time jump as the team will wake up in a new world after years of being “frozen” in time after being put to cryosleep. Monty Green (Christopher Larkin) and Harper (Chelsey Reist) are gone and presumably, Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), together with Monty and Harper’s son, Jordan, will take over to lead the team.
