“The 100” season 6 will continue the story of post-apocalyptic survivors Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) — together, the Bellarke — along with the new main character Jordan (Shannon Kook). However, in a way, this installment also serves as an all-new beginning for the show with as these three characters in a new world.
The characters adventure since the first season has been anything but peaceful. However, teasers about some of the new characters to be introduced in “The 100” season 6 hint Bellarke might finally find peace. Entertainment Weekly previously reported that the upcoming episodes will reveal a character named Russell to be played by “Teen Wolf” star J.R. Bourne.
Clarke, Bellamy, and Jordan are expected to meet him in “The 100” season 6 as they land in a world where Russell leads a “peaceful society.” However, the description of Russell’s character might also be foreshadowing more danger. At the time the character was first reported, he was described as a “charismatic leader, a visionary and pioneer who will face the difficult moral choices emblematic of the hard-hitting show.”
Another aspect of “The 100” season 6 that would make it seem like a refreshing series installment is the fact that Harper (Chelsey Reist) and Monty (Christopher Larkin) will not be around. However, the addition of Harper and Monty’s son, Jordan, will certainly make up for their absence.
With the new world, faces, and threats in “The 100” season 6, it could be as if the viewers will be experiencing these major changes with Jordan, who showrunner Jason Rothenberg described as a “blank slate. “He doesn't have any experience. He's never been off that ship. Everything he experiences in Season 6 is going to be new and fresh and he's going to be wide-eyed and excited and horrified,” Rothenberg told TV Guide.
The showrunner also teased that Monty’s presence will be felt in “The 100” season 6 as the remaining characters live by his wish that they do better. “Jordan represents his parents, I think, really nicely. He's a character I'm really emotional about. I think the people are going to love him,” Rothenberg further explained. “The 100” season 6 will premiere on Tuesday, April 30, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
