The ongoing pandemic caused by coronavirus has affected practically every industry imaginable on a global scale. It is then only fair for anime fans to wonder if “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2’s release date could be eventually affected by this crisis.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 release date
The good news now is there has not been any delay announced for “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 despite other titles and franchises getting affected by the coronavirus. The premiere of many anime shows and movies have already been postponed along with some of the biggest anime conferences supposedly happening this year. But the return of the series, based on the same title light novel franchise by Tsutomu Sato, has yet to receive such an update.
“The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 is still in production at this point, so it might be too early for the producers to determine if the pandemic will disrupt their timeline. The anime’s second installment is scheduled to premiere in summer, specifically sometime in July.
If the show ends up joining the list of delayed shows this year due to the pandemic, its fans should be able to cope with it well. If this public health crisis taught people one thing it is that everyone’s safety comes first. Also, fans had plenty of practice waiting since they had to wait more than half a decade to receive confirmation that the “The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will be produced.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ season 2 spoilers
“The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will skip one volume from the light novel series. But it should not affect the storyline that much since “Recollection Arc” practically serves as a recap. Season 2 should still feel like it picks up from where season 1 ended.
“The Irregular at Magic High School” season 2 will be based on the Visitor Arc where Tatsuya meets a mysterious exchange student named Angelina Kudou Shields. If anime fans find Tatsuya suspicious of the new girl in school, he has a good reason to feel that way.
