“The Last of Us Part 2” has a release date already and based on the reports this was not announced by PlayStation but was leaked online. As per the rumor, the game sequel is coming on May 22, 2020.
The leaker
The leaker posted the information in the 4Channel discussion board this past weekend. The poster with the user name cyhol started a thread and revealed that an insider from the developer of “The Last of Us Part 2” shared that Sony PlayStation and heads of Naughty Dog Studios had a meeting and made the decision to launch the game on the said date.
“Originally the main team of Naughty Dog wanted to aim for release the game for winter 2020, rather than for spring 2020,” cyhol wrote. “However, the title still needed some more time to further improve the quality of certain content, textures, and animations of some characters and environments, in order to better refine the title.”
It was said that this person had been known to leak details of upcoming games so many are convinced that he has the right info. But observers also pointed out that there are times that he releases fake details so he cannot be trusted 100 percent, as per Comic Book.
Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet
Meanwhile, it was reported that “The Last of Us Part 2” is Naughty Dog Studio’s most ambitious game that it has ever created. At the recent Manchester Comic-Con, Troy Baker, an actor that has a role in the game called Joel, opened up and disclosed bits of info about the game. He was unsure at first whether to share details, but he let out interesting bits in the end.
One of the things that he said was an assurance that “The Last of Us Part 2” will never disappoint. He said that the game is coming together well and the outcome has been surprising.
“I can tell you this, it’s hands down the most ambitious game that Naughty Dog has ever done for sure,” Baker excitedly said. “It’s far larger than I thought was going to be possible.”
Meanwhile, “The Last of Us Part 2” will be out on PS4 and fans are hoping it will be this year. There is no official announcement yet, but the date suggestion above could be correct too.
