The official synopsis for “The Walking Dead” Season 9 Episode 4 may not give away much in terms of plot details, but fans of the series know that Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is about to do something that will threaten the alliance between the communities. As seen in the previous episode, Maggie’s decision to hang Gregory (Xander Berkeley) in the season premiere has set things into motion, and now Oceanside is following her example as they make their move against the Saviors.
As seen in a preview for “The Walking Dead” Season 9 Episode 4, Maggie is heading to Alexandria and she is not going there to have a cup of tea with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). She wants the former leader of the Saviors dead for what he did to Glenn (Steven Yeun) and she may get her wish.
Titled "The Obliged," “The Walking Dead” Season 9 Episode 4 will feature Rick (Andrew Lincoln) telling his people in Alexandria to prevent Maggie from entering, but that will not stop her. That much is clear because Morgan has already teased that Negan and Maggie will have an intense confrontation this season.
“These two characters, her especially, have been waiting a long time to have a little one-on-one time. And Negan knows it. Negan knows that she’s been looking for him and he’s waiting on her,” Morgan said in an interview with Us Weekly earlier this month. “When they get together, it’s very intense. It’s very emotional. I think the audience is gonna get goosebumps. It’s very heavy.”
Interestingly, Michonne (Danai Gurira) is seen talking with Negan in one of the preview trailers. Will Maggie and Michonne come to blows?
Meanwhile, this will be Rick’s penultimate episode on the show, and fans still don’t have a clue how he is going to die. It will be interesting to see what happens when “The Walking Dead” Season 9 Episode 4 airs on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 9 pm. on AMC.
