(NYSE:VMW), in partnership with Workday, Cloudera, Mozilla, Stanford Clayman Institute for Gender Research, and Code2040 today announced that registration is open for the third annual Women Transforming Technology (WT2) Conference. Taking place on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, this world-class community event is designed to continue the important conversation on advancing women in the workplace across the tech industry. It will host more than 550 attendees, ranging from students to executives from industry, academia and nonprofit organizations.
Featuring inspiring role models that have shattered the “glass ceiling” in a male-dominated industry, the WT2 Conference will cultivate a supportive environment for women in the Silicon Valley technology industry. This year’s keynote speakers will be Laila Ali, entrepreneur, athlete and advocate for equality; and Megan Smith, the first female chief technology officer for the United States. Additional breakout sessions will showcase thought-provoking speakers on the most pressing topics for women in technology. Sessions will be broken down into five tracks based on technical and seniority level including:
- Emerging Leadership – for the professional who would like to focus on developing their personal brand and gaining insight into their individual leadership style
- Executive Leadership – for the more seasoned professional who is already in the managerial track and wanting to advance to the next leadership level
- Technical – for professionals interested in tools to advance their careers
- VP+ Breakout (Invite only) – content designed specifically for VPs and above
- Diversity & Inclusion – opportunity to learn and share best D&I practices
