Torrent News: Sexist Cut of 'Avengers: Endgame' Uploaded on Popular Torrent Site

Someone uploaded a sexist cut of the box office hit “Avengers: Endgame” to a popular torrent site. The three-hour movie runtime was diminished by half after the uploader explained what scenes they removed.

As of this writing, it has 41 seeds and is still available on the torrent platform. “‘Endgame,’ but shorter, no feminism, no gay s***, less boring filler, less sniffing its own farts, no constant quips, and other small changes,” the uploader whose username only appears as anonymous said in the description box.

The torrent download page also contained a list of changes applied to the original final cut. After the edit, the so-called fan said the movie’s length was reduced to 1 hour and 25 minutes.

The torrent file, titled “Avengers Endgame De-Feminized Fanedit,” was put up in one of the most popular torrent sites, The Pirate Bay, earlier this month. Other fans on Twitter has since called it a manifestation of “white fragility.” It has not been confirmed yet whether the uploader is male, but the longer title in the description box calls their version a “straight white male edition.”

“Avengers: Endgame” starts with Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) training her daughter with a bow and arrow. This was also removed in the torrent file as the uploader said, “Young women should learn skills to become good wives and mothers and leave the fighting to men.”

On top of the list of changes was, “Absolutely no Brie, Larson.” The Academy Award-winning actress is known for her stance on feminism and against sexual assault. In the movie, Larson’s Captain Marvel a.k.a. Captain Marvel had minimal appearance except in the final battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin). The bad guy obviously had difficulty fighting her one-on-one and even needed to use the Power Stone to punch her with enough force.

The final battle in the movie’s last hour also contained a sequence where Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) was portrayed as another capable opponent to Thanos. Another powerful scene was when all the female fighters teamed up to fight the main villain. These were removed and “severely reduced,” respectively, according to the torrent uploader who claimed to be a member of “a Christian Alt-Right organization."
