PLANTATION, Fla., Nov. 07, 2016 -- TradeStation, a Monex Group company and award-winning* online broker-dealer and futures commission merchant, announced today that it will offer commission-free trading for all active-duty U.S. military personnel, as well as extend the company’s lowest per-trade commission rate to U.S. military veterans.
Under the new TradeStation Salutes program, active-duty service members will receive commission-free trading for stocks, ETFs and options, a waiver of all inactivity fees, and free real-time data.
The program also recognizes the past sacrifice of retired service members by waiving all inactivity fees and offering TradeStation’s lowest per-trade stock, ETF and option commission rate of $4.99 per trade plus $0.30 per contract to America’s military veterans.
In addition, TradeStation will be continuing its tradition of award-winning* trader education with a robust educational offering specifically geared to active-duty and retired military personnel. This new program is currently under development in association with prominent financial education firms that focus on investment and trading. The curriculum, to be taught by industry experts, will offer program participants a comprehensive educational overview of investment concepts and trading techniques for equities, options and futures.
The TradeStation Salutes program is available to all active-duty and retired U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. National Guard and U.S. Coast Guard personnel who open a new TradeStation brokerage account.
“TradeStation is proud to honor the sacrifice of those who defend the freedoms and liberty we as Americans often take for granted,” said John Bartleman, President of TradeStation Group, Inc. “Through this new program, active-duty and retired military personnel can take advantage of the great things TradeStation has to offer – our award-winning* trading platform, charting capabilities, educational offerings and mobile and web applications – and enjoy significant cost savings as well. This is our way of recognizing and giving back to those who proudly serve.”
