Micro is the newest product in the Surface and Air Germ Elimination (S.A.G.E.) UV line from Violet Defense. S.A.G.E. UV units have been proven to effectively kill up to 99.9 percent of the most common germs, including MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella and Norovirus. By combining germ-killing UV-C, UV-B, UV-A and violet blue light, S.A.G.E. UV optimizes the amount of the energy delivered through the air and onto any contact surface.
“We developed this line of products to provide affordable options for clinical-level cleaning in every day spaces, including hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, assisted living facilities, schools, and in people’s homes,” said Mark Nathan, CEO of Violet Defense. “The nature of our patent allows us to produce powerful germ-killing light from an extremely small package, making it possible to bring this technology to people who have not had viable options available in the past. Micro is our smallest product yet, approximately the size of a normal book, opening up nearly unlimited possibilities for usage,” added Nathan.
With its included carry case, S.A.G.E. Micro can be taken virtually anywhere. If you are a traveler, Micro can go on the road with you to disinfect your hotel room. If you are a parent, you can use Micro to clean your sick child’s room. If you are involved in public safety, Micro could be a great tool for ambulance disinfection or for crime scene clean-up. If you’re a school nurse or work in a doctor’s office, imagine adding Micro to your clinic to clean your exam spaces.
To bring this product to market, Violet Defense is partnering with Jabil, one of the most technologically advanced manufacturing solutions providers. “In order to ensure the highest level of quality on a global scale, we are excited to be working with Jabil as our partner on this product, to help protect people around the world,” said Terrance Berland, COO of Violet Defense. For those who want to see this technology up close, Micro will be on display at Jabil’s booth at CES in Las Vegas, January 9th – 12th.
