Ian is professor of work and employment at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. His research looks at how innovative business models affect workers and employees. Ian has published widely on business models in American multinational firms, businesses under private equity ownership and more recently on informalized business models and migrant workers.
Ian and his colleagues provide critical friend advice to the Director of Labour Market Enforcement in the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Gangmaster's Labour Abuse Authority.
