Dr Shasha Wang is a Lecturer in the School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations at the QUT Business School; and an Honorary Research Fellow in the Business School of the University of Western Australia (UWA). Before joining QUT, Dr Wang was a marketing lecturer in the UWA Business School. She also worked in the automobile industry before her PhD.
She is an active researcher in the areas of advertising, promotion, consumer psychology and behaviour. Her research mainly focuses on persuasive and ethical marketing communications targeting the disadvantaged group (e.g., young children). As a secondary focus, she studies social media marketing communications targeting varied consumer groups.
Dr Wang has published articles in Psychology and Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Australasian Marketing Journal, Tourism Analysis, Higher Education, Tourism Review, and others.
