Dr. Silja Hartmann earned her PhD at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Following her dissertation, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Innovation Management at the Ruhr-University Bochum and as Professor for Strategic Management (Interim) at the Technical University of Munich. In 2020 she joined the Chair of Organization at the Freie Universität Berlin as a Postdoctoral Research and Teaching Fellow. Before her academic career Dr. Silja Hartmann worked as an IT strategy consultant for Siemens AG. In her research, Dr. Silja Hartmann investigates contexts of change, setbacks, and crisis. She researches how employees and teams experience and make sense of such context and which factors enable individuals and teams to positively deal with adversity and grow from it.
