As a Reader in Biosciences at Aberystwyth University in Wales and a Professor II in Arctic Microbiology at the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS) I've had the privilege of visiting the Arctic for nearly 20 years and have seen how the Arctic and its ecosystems are already changing quickly as the climate warms.
