Samsung is releasing its Galaxy Note 9 a month ahead of the iPhone X in order to have some revenue advantage against its massive rival. But Apple isn’t letting up and is set to take its adversary’s challenge head-on with its upcoming smartphone.
For starters, the iPhone X is going to have a bigger screen than the Galaxy Note 9 as Apple outfitted it with a 6.5-inch display compared to its competitor that has a 6.3- inch screen, Express reported. However, when it comes to screen size, both smartphones have been taken over by the Huawei’s Note 10, which has a 6.95-inch display.
Still, die-hard Apple fans will undoubtedly go for the iPhone X Plus. Apple has already announced that it’s going to be releasing three variants come September, which will feature a cheaper version of its flagship phone.
The 5.8-inch iPhone X and the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus are expected to be released with the same style and specifications, while the iPhone X Plus version will have a larger battery size aside from a wider screen. The iPhones will sport the same notch design heralded by the original iPhone X along with Face ID recognition.
As for what’s included under the hood, the cheaper phone will have the same A12 chip, making it as competent as the OLED versions. And speaking of OLED design, while two of the iPhones slated to be released will have an OLED screen, the cheaper model will only have an LCD display.
Going back to the notch design chosen by Apple for its iPhone X Plus, Samsung recently released an ad mocking the company’s choice. In the commercial, a character criticizes the notch found on the edges of the smartphone, noting how it somehow blocks some of the display when viewing a video. The iPhone X Plus and its kin are slated to be released in September, judging by how the company schedules its launches in the past.
