2024 iPad Pro to Launch with Premium OLED Display, M3 Chip, and Price Hike

The 2024 iPad Pro, poised to set new standards with its OLED display and M3 chip, might come with a higher price tag.

The next OLED iPad Pro is set to be released in early 2024. The biggest difference for this device is the new display, which rumors predict will replace miniLED and LCD alternatives with a new OLED panel.

2024 iPad Pro Has New OLED Screen

According to Korean blog Naver user yeux1122, a source connected to LG Display and Samsung Display knows a few details about the tablet's production chain. The blog said, that whereas LG couldn't keep up with demand for the iPhone's AMOLED display in the beginning, it is currently far ahead of Samsung in terms of supplying the new panels for this future iPad.

However, while LG was planned to provide 6.2 million units, it has increased to 6.5 million units per year, with mass production beginning in February 2024. According to the source, LG's innovative two-stack tandem structure, which is being used on the 2024 iPad Pro, is superior to Samsung's in terms of organic material device supply.

Samsung has had troubles with power heat generation process yield since the beginning of development, but LG has not. Finally, the news aggregator remarks that if all goes as planned, the OLED iPad Pro display will make mobile device panels appear like a joke, since brightness, general quality, and battery consumption will be significantly improved with the new iPad Pro. However, the price may frighten users.

2024 iPad Pro Eyes Price Hike with Enhanced Specs

While it was widely assumed that Apple would choose an OLED screen due to lowering pricing, it appears that the display is not only costly for the company but also costly for customers. The price of the 11-inch iPad Pro may rise, while the new 13-inch model may remain at a comparable starting point, as per BGR.

Aside from this upgrade, the 2024 iPad Pro is likely to include the M3 chip, enhanced cameras, and new accessories to unlock the full capabilities of the iPad, including a next-generation Apple Pencil and a MacBook-like Magic Keyboard.
