What:
2U, Inc. (Nasdaq:TWOU), a leader in partnering with colleges and universities to deliver the world's best digital education, and GetSmarter, a leader in collaborating with universities to offer premium online short courses to working professionals, will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square.
The ringing celebrates that on May 1, 2017, 2U agreed to acquire GetSmarter, with the transaction expected to close in the third quarter. By coming together, 2U and GetSmarter expect to build on their similar missions, accelerate the companies’ combined revenue growth, expand the addressable market for their product sets and take advantage of marketing leverage.
In honor of the occasion, members on both companies’ management teams, including GetSmarter Founder and CEO, Sam Paddock, will ring the Closing Bell.
