7-Eleven revealed on Monday, March 18, that it will launch the “Tasty Jang Woo Convenience Food Series” in its stores. This is part of a collaboration deal between the convenience store chain and the 37-year-old actor known to be a foodie.
Selection of Lee Jang Woo as Model
7-Eleven said that the collaborative food series is set to be released in its stores across the country on Tuesday, March 19. According to Hankooki.com, Lee Jang Woo was selected by the company as its food model earlier this month.
The convenience store giant said it picked the actor because of his image of someone who eats deliciously and knows much about food. The firm added that Lee goes well with its goal and the campaign to pursue delicious and healthy food.
“We will continue to provide an opportunity to build greater trust in the food of Lee Jang-woo and 7-Eleven, who are serious about food, and we expect this year to be a momentum for convenience store convenience foods to be upgraded to the next level,” 7-Eleven’s head of food division, Park Dae Seong, said in a statement.
Products Under the New Food Series
Pulse News reported that the “Tasty Jang Woo Convenience Food Series” will also launch Lee Jang Woo as the store’s official brand ambassador for this year. The actor’s love for food has been displayed through various variety shows, and his power to influence viewers with his food makes him the best model for 7-Eleven’s new food products.
At any rate, the “Tasty Jang Woo” food lineup that will be introduced tomorrow in 7-Eleven stores includes three types of lunchboxes: the Gochujang Bulbak, Tonkatsu and Kimchi Jeyuk, and the Jeonju Bibimbap. In addition, there will be five types of gimbap and triangular gimbap, which will surely become instant favorites.
