AC Milan has signed a new partnership deal designating the MonkeyLeague, a Web 3.0 soccer title, as their non-fungible token (NFT) gaming partner.
MonkeyLeague, a platform built on the Solana blockchain, enables users to create teams made up of six NFT characters and compete against other users.
The MonkeyBucks ($MBS) token serves as the primary currency in the game, which also includes in-game items with possible external market value.
As part of the collaboration, MonkeyLeague will develop bespoke Milan-branded wearables, unique gaming competitions, and co-marketing activities like Rossonieri players trying out the game.
With the new contract in place, MonkeyLeague will release a fresh set of AC Milan-themed game materials, including characters, skins, and venues.
Milan-branded assets will also be generated randomly through MonkeyLeague’s in-game ‘breeding process’, with other additional NFTs also made available.
The 6th October first drop will be released n October 6th via an auction on the MagicEden NFT marketplace, with a chance to win signed physical Milan merchandise.
