A post later deleted by All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader Dr. Abdullahi Dayo Israel drew scrutiny over vehicles shown in an accompanying video, which Premium Times and Tribune Online reported showed seven SUVs.

TheCable and Premium Times reproduced the post as saying Israel had presented a new 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado to selected youth leaders to support election mobilization. That wording referred to one Prado and gave no total; Premium Times and Tribune Online separately reported that the accompanying video showed seven vehicles.

TheCable and Premium Times reported that Israel published the post Sunday, Oct. 25, and removed it about three hours later. They said it also thanked First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for supporting the party structure under Israel’s leadership. Premium Times reported that Israel had not publicly explained the deletion by the time it published its account.

Some X users questioned the decision to provide vehicles to party youth leaders during a period of economic hardship, TheCable and Premium Times reported. Premium Times cited an X user’s estimate that seven vehicles could cost more than ₦1 billion. TheCable cited a separate social media post claiming spending exceeded ₦1.5 billion. Neither amount was confirmed as the purchase price.

The APC’s official biography says Israel has held the national youth leader role since 2022, with party mobilization and youth engagement among his responsibilities. TheCable and Premium Times connected the vehicle presentation to preparations for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

The reports did not name a payer or provide confirmed vehicle specifications or a transaction value. The post identified selected party youth leaders as the intended recipients, but did not state who funded the vehicles.
