Accenture’s acquisition of Miami-based Avicado brings software integration and project delivery expertise to its U.S. construction business, extending its work with owners of data centers and major infrastructure projects.
Accenture announced the deal Oct. 20. Avicado’s team of more than 190 is joining Accenture Construct’s U.S. operations, which provide advisory, engineering, program management and construction management services. Accenture did not disclose the purchase price.
Founded in 2015, Avicado helps project owners set up and connect software from Procore, Autodesk, Trimble, Oracle and Kahua. Its work also covers owner representation, site selection, procurement, scheduling and document management. Accenture identified data centers, transportation projects and public infrastructure among the types of construction programs Avicado supports.
Accenture said it aims to make project information easier to share and reduce the manual work involved in passing it between teams. Accenture Construct CEO Adam J. Shaw said Avicado adds expertise in the digital systems used to manage large capital projects.
Avicado founder and CEO Avidahn Levin said the firm’s clients would be able to draw on Accenture’s technology and industry expertise.
