‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ season 4 reveals its newest poster featuring the main cast of characters. Meanwhile, the official promo featured the arrival of Gabriel Luna’s Ghost Rider into the series.
According to Superherohype, Marvel Entertainment and ABC unveiled season 4’s official poster gathering the series’ principal cast members. These include Clark Gregg’s Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen’s Agent Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker’s Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge’s Agent Jemma Simmons, Chloe Bennet’s Agent Daisy Johnson/Quake, and Henry Simmons’ Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie. Gabriel Luna’s Robbie Reyes a.k.a. Ghost Rider is also seen looking down as a fiery skull.
Other members of the cast include Mallory Jansen as AIDA, Jason O’Mara as the new Director, John Hannah as Holden Radcliff, and Lilli Birdsell as Lucy. Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Briana Venskus are also set to guest star as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez and Piper, respectively.
The incoming season deals with the after-effects of the Joe and Anthony Russo’s film ‘Captain America: Civil War’ – in light of the Sokovia Accords and the obliteration of Hydra. According to the synopsis posted on Blastr, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimized to operate out in the open. A new director will head the organization with the world’s presumption of Coulson’s death.
Coulson will revert to status of agent and works together with Mack as they track down the Inhumans as well as capture Daisy, who has gone rogue as Quake. With Daisy’s new reputation as a fugitive, it seems that the new director will stop at nothing to take her down for good.
Meanwhile, a new promo video was dropped heralding the arrival of Luna’s Roberto “Robbie” Reyes a.k.a. Ghost Rider into the television series. According to Coming Soon, Robbie first appeared in the Marvel comic book “All-New Ghost Rider Vol. 1 #1” by Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore published on May 2014. Robbie was introduced as a young mechanic working in a crime-ridden neighborhood in Los Angeles.
Robbie’s super powers are similar to those of the first Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze. He possesses the powers of demonic transformation, which enables him to achieve superhuman strength, durability, stamina, and regeneration. He also has the power of hellfire manipulation – the ability to generate, control, and project mystical fire that burns the soul of any being. He can also increase his size at will and can project a mystical chain that works like a weapon.
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ season 4 is scheduled to premiere on ABC on September 20, 2016. The season opens with episode 1, entitled “"The Ghost", directed by Billy Gierhart and written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen.
