Miami, Fla., Feb. 02, 2018 -- Ocean Bank president and CEO Agostinho Alfonso Macedo has been named one of South Florida’s Power Leaders by the South Florida Business Journal.

Macedo is among a group of 153 top executives in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties from all business categories. It’s not the first honor for Mr. Macedo by the South Florida Business Journal, having previously been named a Power Leader in Banking.
Mr. Macedo told the Business Journal that being a leader comes from being positive, always focusing on solutions, not problems, concentrating on the big picture and then taking action.
Mr. Macedo has been CEO Ocean Bank since 2007. He is a native of Caracas, Venezuela, and is a graduate of Universidad Metropolitana.
Ocean Bank is the largest independent, state-chartered commercial bank headquartered in Florida, with $3.7 billion in assets. Chartered in 1982, Ocean Bank operates its branch network throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
