Menwhile, executive producer Michael J. McDonald teased a possible fourth season for the critically-acclaimed anthology crime drama. According to Deadline, McDonald said, “There is a story that we want to tell… Seeing what’s happening on Fox News and what’s happening with Uber, you’re seeing the role that women play in the workforce.” He shared that the upcoming season my focus on the topic of sexual harassment.
McDonald said, “Unfortunately with broadcast television it’s very hard to get an audience– our audience may not be there right now.”
Actress Felicity Huffman added, “If there isn’t a Season 4, I’m so honored that this is our last season. I think ABC has changed the face of network TV and what network TV can do. … They are beyond what cable can do. Sometimes those things have a short shelf life, but the ripple effect is great.”
‘American Crime’ season 3’s episode 6 is scheduled to air on ABC on April 16, 2017. It was directed by Ramsey Nickell and written by Steve Harper. It will be followed by episode 7 scheduled to be released on April 23 and directed by John Krokidas.
