“American Horror Story: Apocalypse” is shaping up to be one hell of a series as viewers are hit with by one heavy question after another. One of the most prominent questions that are being raised is about the real identity of Michael Langdon (Cody Fern), Celebrity Insider reported.
Episode 4 of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” unveiled a lot of details about Langdon and the threat he brings with his powers. However, as quickly as this information is proffered, so are the questions that come after it. Yes, Langdon seems to be the Antichrist, but could he also be a warlock?
There’s no confirmation of that but the safest answer to provide is no. While Langdon’s grandmother, Constance Langdon (Jessica Lange), does have a bloodline connecting her to the previous Supreme, Mimi DeLongpre, that doesn’t exactly mean that Michael himself is born a warlock.
This is especially true since Michael’s power is fiercer than that of an ordinary warlock depicted in the series. This Antichrist is set to take on the test of the Seven Wonders, a challenge that he’s expected to pass given Michael has demonstrated several immense capabilities, including descensum, the ability to travel to hell. Aside from Michael, “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” will also explore the cause of the fallout that the world finds itself in.
Indeed, this has already been touched upon on episode 4 of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” where the narrative is shifting the blame of the fallout to the warlocks. Apparently, the catastrophic event was caused by the warlocks wanting to control Michael’s power in order to put an end to the witches’ dominion.
As for Michael himself, it’s still unclear what his encompassing goal is going to be. Will he lead the warlocks in overthrowing the witches or is he just another pawn and the real brains are still biding their time behind the curtains? The next episode of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” will shed some light on all these questions when it airs on Oct. 10.
