There have been a ton of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt reports about the former couple’s divorce, custody battles, and subsequent private fights. There were even plenty of fake news articles that suggested everything from the actress wasting away to the “Troy” star sleeping around. However, a new book gave light to an aspect of the relationship that has long been forgotten. The Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt relationship was supposed to last forever.
Simply put, a new tidbit about how the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt pair were ten years ago came out via a memoir written by Lamar Odom, US Magazine reports. The book is titled “Darkness to Light,” and despite the cheesy headline, there are a few interesting details available. Among the juiciest is the double date that he once had with the star couple back in 2009.
At the time, he was dating Taraji P. Henson, who was a co-star of Brad Pitt for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” It was during the Golden Globes that the double date with the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt couple occurred, which Odom called an “amazing night.”
“On the night of the Golden Globes, Taraji and I went to a restaurant and had dinner with her Benjamin Button costar Brad Pitt and his wife, Angelina Jolie,” Odom wrote.
One thing he took away from that experience was how it seemed like the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt pairing would last forever. Unfortunately, this was simply not going to happen. This is yet another nugget of false gold that built the mountain of rubble that is the couple’s divorce.
These days, few people remember the good times in the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt relationship, which appears to include the celebrities themselves. It’s a tragic tale that should have ended happily ever after. There was a time when everyone was sure they could pull it off.
