Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson are said to be in a very tense relationship right now. The actresses are allegedly fighting due to the release dates of their respective films “Maleficent” and “Jojo Rabbit.”
Based on the report that appeared on the National Enquirer, Jolie and Johansson’s feud is actually going on for years but things have worsened and it has reached a very uncomfortable level today. The two are said to have developed bad blood due to stiff competition in the show business and this has been going on for a while now.
“Angie pushing hard for the Maleficent sequel to get released this year is putting her in direct competition for ticket sales with Scarlett, who is gunning for her first Oscar with JoJo Rabbit,” the tipster told the tabloid.
“They have never been friends and have totally different circles of friends, but now Angie is also staking a claim to Scarlett’s turf by signing up for multiple Marvel movies,” he went on to say. “These two have been in hardcore competition for so long and there’s been a ton of bad blood in the process. Right now, they’re at each other’s throats and trash-talking each other to anyone who’ll listen.”
While some people may be convinced that Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson are at odds and their feud is turning uglier, Gossip Cop wrote that this should not be thought of as truths because they are not. The fact-checking site said that it can set the record straight and show that the actresses are not fighting over their movie premieres - for competition.
It was explained that it is true that Angelina Jolie’s “Maleficent” second sequel was moved for release on October 18 instead of May 2020. However, it was Disney who decided on this and besides, she does not have a say this matter. As for Scarlet Johansson’s “Jojo Rabbit,” it will be released on its original date this year but the exact date will not coincide on the Disney movie’s date thus there will be no competition between the two films.
