Adidas is set to launch the AE 1 Low in patriotic colorways for Anthony Edwards, just in time for the Olympics in Paris.
Patriotic Colorways for Paris
In honor of the United States' national colors, Adidas will release a trio of his iconic AE 1 sneakers.
There is only one month left before the Olympic Games in Paris. Anthony Edwards will join the likes of LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid as they compete for the United States of America, hoping to bring home yet another gold medal.
The signature sneakers are going to be wild, and considering that the majority of players, including Edwards, have their own models, we should be in for some unique colorways by the time July finally arrives.
Anthony Edwards' Olympic Debut
During his very first appearance at the Olympics, Anthony Edwards will be wearing his signature Adidas AE 1 Low in a variety of hues centered around the United States of America. During the basketball competition, the three-shoe pack will be adorned with shades of red, white, and the traditional navy blue color that represents the United States of America.
Fans were given their first glimpse of what the Olympic shoes would look like thanks to @NiceKicks with their initial peek.
Signature Design and Materials
The structure of the Adidas AE 1 Low is identical to that of the standard Adidas AE 1, with the one notable difference being a lower cut around the ankle support. The sneaker's upper is constructed of rubber and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which has become inextricably linked with the Edwards brand.
The set includes a pair of shoes that are predominantly navy blue with a red underlay, a pair of white shoes with a blue upper that contrasts with the majority of the shoe, and a pair of red and blue shoes that mix together flawlessly.
ClutchPoints has said before that the Adidas AE 1's idea allows for infinite color combinations. Fans have seen a small sample of these combinations in the short time the shoes have been made and sold to the public.
There has been no official announcement of a release date, although we have seen recent mockups of possible designs. The Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place on July 26, thus you can anticipate Adidas to release these before the games begin.
