Anthropic’s public IPO filing puts its $8.945 billion first-half compute and infrastructure expense alongside rapid revenue growth, offering investors a view of the costs accompanying the Claude maker’s expansion.
The proposed stock sale has no announced share count or price range. Anthropic filed a public Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, Oct. 26. In its announcement, the company identified Class A common stock as the proposed security and ANT as the ticker for an intended Nasdaq Global Select Market listing. The registration statement is not yet effective.
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the filing reports $16.286 billion in revenue, compared with $1.163 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2025. Anthropic recorded an $80.748 billion net loss in the 2026 period, compared with $12.969 billion a year earlier.
Compute and infrastructure expense reached $8.945 billion in the first half of 2026, against $2.334 billion in the same period of 2025. The filing lists a separate $72.388 billion fair-value expense linked to revaluations of derivative liabilities, simple agreements for future equity and convertible notes. It reports a $693 million operating loss as a separate figure.
Potential uses for IPO proceeds include infrastructure spending, operating costs, and hiring or retaining staff, according to the filing. Anthropic has not disclosed a fundraising total. EconoTimes previously covered the company’s first-half revenue and loss.
Reuters reported Oct. 26 that shares of CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN had fallen more than 30% in October, amid investor comparisons of AI infrastructure spending with revenue.
Anthropic said June 1 that it had privately submitted an initial S-1 draft. The company described a public offering then as contingent on market conditions and regulatory review. It has not announced an IPO date.
