At Apple’s Nov. 2 earnings call, CFO Kevan Parekh said AI could influence customers’ decisions to replace or change devices to access new features and cited opportunities in third-party apps and partnerships.

Parekh did not describe what the app and partnership opportunities would involve. He also cited Apple’s own offerings alongside third-party apps and partnerships.

Apple reported 12% year-over-year revenue growth in its fiscal fourth quarter. For the December quarter, Parekh forecast services growth of 8% to 9%. Parekh said sequential pressure, largely from third-party licensing, and a 0.5-percentage-point currency effect were reflected in the December-quarter outlook.

Apple said September-quarter App Store performance was near the prior-year level as third-party apps posted double-digit growth. Paid subscriptions also set a record.
