Asian markets marginally higher, gold slightly down

All the major Asian indices were trading on a higher note on the start of a new week. Gold was trading around $1,254 mark while silver was trading around $16.66 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.08 pct higher at 20,148.55 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.39 percent higher at 25,769.22 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.34 pct higher at 2,387.08 points.

Shanghai composite index to open flat at 3,157.00 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,627.02 points.

Taiwan stock was trading 1.03 pct higher at 10,484.15 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.11 pct higher at 5,722.10 points.

Indian banks will be closed in the observance of the Eid festival.
