Asian markets mixed ahead of Fed chair Yellen’s testifies, gold slightly up

All the major Asian indices were trading on a mixed note on Wednesday. Gold was trading around $1,220 mark while silver was trading around $15.89 marks. The main event for the day is Fed chair Yellen’s testifies.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.58 pct lower at 20,077.25 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.75 percent higher at 26,073.29 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.11 pct lower at 2,393.22 points.

Taiwan stock was trading 0.17 pct higher at 10,432.88 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 1.02 pct lower at 5,670.40 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.09 percent higher at 9,796.70 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.14 percent higher at 31,792.72 points.

Shanghai composite index to open flat at 3,201.93 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,672.63 points.
