Asian markets start a new week on positive note, gold jumps above $1,300 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a positive note on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,301 mark, while silver was trading around $17.32 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.73 percent higher at 21,305.55 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.56 pct higher at 5,846.30 points.

Taiwan stock was trading around 0.28 pct higher at 10,758.65 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.90 pct higher at 28,732.00.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.45 percent higher at 10,214.55 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.55 percent higher 32,610.73 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.22 percent higher at 2,479.49 points.

Shanghai composite index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,393.21 points.
