‘Attack on Titan’ Episode 53 Release Date: Beast and Colossal Titan to Wreak Havoc; Hange’s Fate Remains Uncertain

“Attack on Titan” Episode 53 will be continuing on the current unfolding conflict, this time the protagonists facing against the Colossal Titan. While there’s no doubt that heavy action sequences will take the highlight once again, there will also be key character development in between the storyline.

The previous release already implemented this fact when it transformed Bertholdt from a meek and unassuming character into one of the fiercest antagonists of the series. Shedding his frightful self, Bertholdt has now embraced his fate, which provided him with perfect clarity regarding his decisions moving forward. Indeed, him being clear-headed will likely be one of the highlights of “Attack on Titan” Episode 53 since it’s titled “Perfect Game.”

This is quite dangerous for Eren, Armi, and the rest of the Survey Corps as Bertholdt has now unleashed the Colossal Titan. And with the protagonists only having a handful of members left, the task at hand is quite the mountain to climb. Meanwhile, “Attack on Titan” Episode 53 will also be having another battle featuring Erwin, Levi, and the Beast Titan.

With the Colossal Titan wreaking havoc within Shiganshina and the Beast Titan assaulting the other side of the wall, the heroes are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. And amidst all of these is the uncertainty of Hange’s fate. The character was last seen getting caught in the blast during Bertholdt’s transformation and it’s unclear whether or not she survived that incident. Hopefully, “Attack on Titan” Episode 53 provide some insight into the character as some fans are worried that she might meet the same fate that Marco got. (Of course, manga fans already know what’s going to occur next.)

Overall, the current arc has been one spectacular plotline to follow as creator Hajime Isayama has done a remarkable job foreshadowing everything that’s been happening – heartbreaking deaths and all. As for when fans can expect “Attack on Titan” Episode 53, it’s been scheduled for release on May 19.
