BIGBANG is definitely one of the biggest Kpop acts in the world and since they are this famous, they are no stranger to scandals anymore. In fact, the group already went through almost every kind of controversies including drugs, sex, money and more.
It should be noted that the members’ scandals are not simple that they have been once labeled as “troublemakers.” Here are the accusations and offenses that each BIGBANG member had faced so far.
TOP’s marijuana use
He is the eldest in the group and although BIGBANG has been in the music scene for more than a decade now, this is the first time that TOP was accused of using marijuana. In 2017, while he is serving in the army, reports surfaced that he and his ex-girlfriend smoked pot in his home.
He was found guilty after he admitted to using the illegal weed. He was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment suspended for two years. He was also ordered to pay the penalty, and this verdict made him lose his position as a conscripted policeman; thus, he completed his army service as a public service worker.
G-Dragon military controversies and weed use
As reported by Channel Korea, G-Dragon also figured in marijuana- use scandal and this was in 2011. It was said that the singer smoked pot at a nightclub in Japan. He explained that someone gave him a cigarette but he threw it away after noticing it tastes weird.
Still, the BIGBANG leader was tested for marijuana use and it returned a negative result. Although he admitted to smoking it, the Japanese police let him go because the amount of the substance found in him was so little and it was his first offense.
His most recent scandal is about the army where he was accused of getting special treatment with regards to the number of his vacation and hospitalization in the army. This was proven wrong because G-Dragon’s vacation times are said to be legal plus, he needed to be in a private room when he was hospitalized since people are extra interested in him due to being a celebrity.
Daesung’s building
Surprisingly, Daesung is also getting into scandals and the latest involves suspicions that his building is running illegal businesses that involve prostitution, Koreaboo reported. He is currently, serving in the army when this news came out and he said that he is not aware of the activities that his tenants are doing. The status of this case is unknown.
Taeyang maintains his wholesome image
Taeyang is the only member who is not involved in any controversy. If there is one, the only “scandal” he had was when he dated publicly and later announced his marriage to actress Min Hyo Rin.
Seungri: the youngest and most troubled one
By now, everyone knows that Seungri is still being investigated for a number of crimes including prostitution, sex scandals, embezzlement of funds, violations regarding the operations of Burning Sun and now gambling. He quits show business and now attending to police inquiries for the allegations against him.
