Austin, Texas, July 31, 2017 -- BOXX Technologies, the leading innovator of high-performance computer workstations, rendering systems, and servers, today announced that it will showcase APEXX workstations demonstrating Chaos Group’s V-Ray RT, Adobe® Premiere Pro®, Autodesk® 3ds Max®, and other professional applications inside booth #901 at SIGGRAPH 2017. Held July 30-August 3, at the Los Angles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA, SIGGRAPH is the world’s largest annual conference and exhibition in computer graphics and interactive techniques. In addition to the demos, BOXX will invite Mac and PC users to switch to BOXX by sampling an APEXX 4 workstation and experiencing how it will accelerate their workflows.

“Too many graphic designers, motion media editors, VFX artists, and animators struggle with inadequate systems for creative and rendering applications,” said Shoaib Mohammad, BOXX VP of Marketing and Business Development. “So we’re inviting them to see for themselves how BOXX powers professional applications to run at peak performance and what that will mean for their business productivity and ROI.”
As the most versatile BOXX workstation, the SIGGRAPH model APEXX 4 features dual Quadro® P5000 graphics cards and a ten-core Intel® Core™ i7 professionally overclocked to 4.3GHz, making it ideal for Premiere Pro and other motion media editing applications. The APEXX 4 will be joined by the flagship BOXX workstation, APEXX 2, configured with an NVIDIA Quadro P4000, as well as an Intel® Core™ i7 professionally overclocked to 4.8GHz. The APEXX 2 will demonstrate Autodesk 3ds Max modeling and animation.
The BOXX booth will also host a high-powered rendering demonstration of the new, VCA-certified APEXX 8R featuring eight NVIDIA® Quadro® P6000 GPUs. The rack-mounted system provides unparalleled expandability, mobility within deployment, and performance for design and production workflows. APEXX 1, the world’s smallest overclocked workstation (and featuring an NVIDIA Quadro P1000 graphics card) will demonstrate Autodesk 3ds Max V-Ray rendering while connected to the APEXX 8R.
Rounding out the BOXX booth demonstrations will be V-Ray RT running on the APEXX 5, the industry’s most advanced workstation, featuring up to four AMD ProDuo GPUs (eight GPUs total as the ProDuo has two GPUs in one dual slot enclosure). Two Intel® Xeon® processors (up to 44 cores/88 threads) compliment the most expansion slots of any professional workstation.
As an exclusive offer to SIGGRAPH attendees, BOXX will showcase (and make available at a special sales price) the new ultra-thin GoBOXX SLM VR powered by a VR Ready NVIDIA Quadro P4000 with Max Q technology. At only 4.4 lbs., GoBOXX SLM VR is an ideal platform for VR experiences on-the-go. Finally, BOXX will host a drawing for a free NVIDIA Quadro M6000 graphics card.
“From the new GoBOXX SLM VR to our APEXX workstations and unmatched rendering solutions, SIGGRAPH provides a unique opportunity for media professionals,” said Mohammad. “Once attendees test drive our U.S-built and supported BOXX products and meet with our experts, it becomes obvious that switching to BOXX means working faster and more efficiently than ever before.”
