'Bates Motel' Season 4 Episode 1 Recap: Norman kills another unfortunate victim

Have you watched the premiere of the hit TV series ‘Bates Motel’s fourth season? Because if you did then you surely know how things have gotten crazier and crazier and the storyline just keep getting better and more interesting. And now with Norman a.k.a Mother, is now officially unhinged more than ever, checking in to the Bates Motel will surely be fun. So here is a recap of last night’s episode.

Freddie Highmore, who plays Norman, is really good at his craft that it makes us question our feelings if we really pity him or loathe him for what he has been doing throughout the show. First of was when he killed Bradley after having a vision with Norma and he wakes up bloodied in a street, confused in a field talking to himself, though from our perspective, we see that he’s talking to Norma the way he was in the season finale. He got beaten up by an old man he pushed his luck by attacking him.

Norma, who has been worried about his missing son, receives a call from Dylan about Norman being taken into a psychiatric unit after the incident. Norma arrives at the hospital and is told Norman is under 48-hour observation. When she talks to the doctor and finds out they’re concerned that her son is dangerous, Norma finds herself almost in tears. She even got to the point of lying about his son’s condition just so she can get him out of there, but to no luck.

She even got the guts to tell Romero to pull some string up. But the doctor cannot be budged and advised her instead to have Norman get help from a doctor or else Social Service will be forced to take her son away. Norma faced with the horror of having his son taken away, he forced Romero to marry her so that she can have the insurance she needs to have Norman get in to Pineview. Unfortunately, Romero turned her down.

And now with Norman being locked up, she went back and got the time to receive guest which turned out to be Emma’s estranged mother, Audrey. Audrey being clueless about Norma’s situation with her son, starts opening up about her situation with Emma. Norma was happy to listen and even had the time to make her breakfast because of the good news, Norman is back.

But obviously with Norman back, things are going to be crazy around Bates Motel again. And guess what just happened when he got back? He killed Audrey! Yes, he did. After hearing her explaining why she left Emma, Norman was outraged and what better way to express it than by killing her.
