“Saturday Night Live” has been one of the longest-running programs on US TV and regularly attracts the attention of major celebrities. In the latest Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus issue, it would seem that the program and its cast have been dragged into the mess. There have even been reports that the star of “The Town” has been banned from the program because he did not treat his former girlfriend very well.
Just to give some context to this latest Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus matter, the latter is actually a producer of “SNL.” Ben Affleck has been a host of the show multiple times, but it seems this latest issue will make another stint doing so unlikely, Celebrity Insider reports. It would appear that the cast members of the program have taken their producer’s side.
Now, it’s worth pointing out that the final days of the Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus relationship involved the actor struggling with alcoholism. As such, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that their romantic partnership did not pan out that well. This is despite the fact that there have also been rumors about the two getting married, which Gossip Cop has since debunked.
In any case, it’s clear that the two were having problems getting along, which is a shame. There were a lot of people who were hoping for a Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus miracle. At the end of the day, though, it would seem that things just became too much for the both of them.
Combatting alcoholism while trying to stay in the lives of his children has put a lot of stress on the actor/director. On the other hand, his attitude has also not been the most positive of traits for the “SNL” producer. As such, it might have been inevitable for the Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus split to happen.
