Binance co-founder He Yi questioned a roughly $2 billion calculation of funds leaving the exchange, citing how it may have handled recently activated hot wallets in the aggregate estimate.

A DeFi small miner’s calculation put Binance’s current net outflow near $2 billion. He Yi said the estimate may have counted newly used Binance hot-wallet addresses as money leaving the exchange, which could inflate the total.

She suggested comparing the figure across several tools but gave no competing total. She did not say how much the wallet classification could have changed the calculation.

Her comment raised a question about how exchange wallet activity was incorporated into the figure, without confirming that the estimate was wrong or giving a revised net outflow. The roughly $2 billion number therefore remains the miner’s estimate, while the possible effect of the address classification is unspecified.
