Binance's reply to a user rejected a $150 compensation claim tied to its withdrawal pause and said the accompanying X screenshot had been digitally manipulated.
The user alleged that Binance would pay because withdrawals had been paused. The post included a screenshot.
The claim surfaced as Binance worked to resume withdrawals after a security-related pause. Its earlier timetable set Sunday, Nov. 1, as a restart target, subject to security checks, and planned a full proof-of-reserves report for Monday, Nov. 2, according to EconoTimes' earlier coverage of Binance's withdrawal timeline.
The pause followed unauthorized withdrawal requests. Binance estimated the incident's impact at about $6.3 billion and said its SAFU fund and company funds would cover losses, as EconoTimes reported in its earlier coverage of the incident. The Nov. 2 report was the next dated item in the exchange's earlier timetable.
