Bitcoin Shatters Records on Geopolitical Calm: BTC Targets $80,000 Amid Institutional Surge

Hopes for a US-Iran truce drove BTCUSD to rise dramatically. On April 11, it reached its highest point of $73,832, and it is currently trading at roughly $74438.

From April 7 to April 11, 2026, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw significant net inflows totaling USD 808.4 million, with BlackRock's IBIT leading the way, achieving a high of USD 278.5 million in daily gains on April 10. Although Grayscale's GBTC, an established fund, continued to see outflows, consistent institutional demand from investors such as IBIT and ARKB has driven total inflows since launch to around USD 58 billion. This increase has been further fueled by favorable economic developments, including advancements in the CLARITY Act and a decrease in global tensions.
