Bold Predictions for Bitcoin’s Future
Geoff Kendrick is Head of Digital Assets Research at Standard Chartered, and some pretty bold predictions for Bitcoin (BTC) coming his way. By the end of 2025, Bitcoin may touch $200,000, he feels. Further ahead, he sees it climbing to $300,000 by the end of 2026, to $400,000 by the end of 2027, and finally touching $500,000 by the end of 2028.
Improved Access and Investment
These forecasts are among the primary bases because investors could easily access Bitcoin due to recently approved spot exchange-traded funds in the US. This approval happened in January 2024, and afterward, these kinds of ETFs received $39 billion in newly invested money into them.
Decreasing Volatility and Growth Expectations
As the price of Bitcoin and market size increase, its price trend has become relatively less volatile; it is tough for any particular trader to influence the prices significantly. From the second half of 2025 to the end of 2028, Kendrick believes, Bitcoin could really enter a new growth phase wherein the value shoots up into the sky.
Positive Sentiment from Institutions and Government
Standard Chartered also commented that institutional investors have developed a keen interest in Bitcoin, which is bound to be a significant price driver shortly. Also, the overall attitude of the U.S. government continues to be positive toward the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem. Considering all these factors, Bitcoin seems to be ready for a bright future in the near term.
