The Underwater Temple arc is going to escalate quickly in the upcoming “Black Clover” episode 43. As suggested in the previous episode and confirmed in the official preview, the Black Bulls are going to battle against the Temple Warriors.
“Black Clover” episode 43 is fittingly titled “Temple Battle Royale.” According to spoilers, each member of the Black Bulls is going to face their own enemy in the upcoming episode. This setup was already introduced in episode 42, when the Black Bulls first set foot on the Underwater Temple.
In the previous episode, it was said that every member of Black Bulls will have their own opponent. However, GeekSniper noted that there are only nine human temple warriors while there are 10 members of the Black Bulls.
The same report explained that to make things fair in the “Black Clover” episode 43 battle, the temple warriors will include an Octopus character to fight with them. This Octopus fighter is technically not a temple warrior. It was already established that temple warriors are real humans with the ability to transform into a sea creature in some ways.
However, the Octopus character is not actually human. Though it has its pair of arms and legs, it is by nature a sea creature, so it still does not count as an official temple warrior. But, regardless, the talking Octopus guy will be fighting Asta as shown in the “Black Clover” episode 43 trailer.
Meanwhile, the anime series also introduced two new characters as the Underwater Temple arc started in episode 42. One of the new faces, Kiato, will also be seen in the battle and will be fighting Noelle in “Black Clover” episode 43.
Kiato is a seabed priest who is also dreaming of becoming a renowned dancer. He wants to use his talent to launch a career that would give him money in case he decides to live outside the Underwater Temple.
With this life-long dream, Kiato could be distracted, and Asta and the rest of the Black Bulls will praise him for his dancing prowess. However, spoilers for “Black Clover” episode 43 indicate that it would not be that easy since Kiato is also determined to win the battle.
Kiato needs to win this battle if he also wants to pursue being a dancer. The seabed high priest, Gifso, promised the temple warriors that they can visit land if they win in “Black Clover” episode 43.
The air date for “Black Clover” episode 43 has not been announced yet. But if no delays will occur, it could be released a week after episode 42, which is on July 31.
