“Black Clover” episode 82 will offer a short break from all the fighting and competitions in the Royal Selections arc. What better way to do it than by having an entire episode filled with Petit Clover.
There is no surprise that “Black Clover” episode 82 will be a so-called filler as its title, that was announced a few weeks ago, clearly indicated that the entire installment is a Petit Clover. The title “Petit Clover! The Nightmarish Charmy” also hints at having the half-human, half-dwarf character at the center of all the jokes.
New fans of the anime series might not be too familiar with the Petit Clover. But it is a staple segment of the “Black Clover” series where Studio Pierrot usually inserts Easter egg clues and even jokes about the episode plot, the fans or about animation artists themselves. So instead of the typical filler episode where the producers would just recap what happened in the arc so far, knowing that “Black Clover” episode 82 is an entire installment of Petit Clover is a welcomed break to many fans.
As reported previously, “Black Clover” episode 82 appears to revolve around the food-loving Charmy Pappitson. The preview opens with the Food Magic-wielding character lying on the ground looking extremely bothered and surrounded by plenty of mushrooms. However, her voice over assures fans they will enjoy the upcoming filler episode. “We’re going to make sure you stuff yourself full of extra yummy goodness,” Charmy says in the background.
Meanwhile, fans see “Black Clover” episode 82 as an opportunity for the anime series staff to have more time in crafting the following installments. Some viewers have been commenting about the quality of the current anime series arc and are hoping that by having a filler this week, the next episodes will meet their expectations.
The Royal Selections arc will continue after “Black Clover” episode 82. The Petit Clover-filled installment airs on Tuesday, May 7.
