The Royal Knights continue its attack on the Eye of the Midnight Sun tower in “Black Clover” episode 89. But one of the most exciting events will happen in the team of Mereoleona, Zora, and Asta once a copycat of the latter suddenly shows up.
To recap, the Mereoleona decided to attack the Eye of the Midnight Sun hideout a few days earlier than planned. She ordered the Royal Knights to infiltrate various parts of the tower in teams, and she chose Asta and Zora to go with her. The latest installment closed with Rhya declaring he is joining the fight and “Black Clover” episode 89 will show how he is going to do that.
Fans should know by now that one of Rhya’s best powers is the Imitation Magic that he will use in “Black Clover” episode 89 effectively until Mereoleona outsmarts him. As the captain’s team advances, two people who look very similar to Asta will appear, and they both claim to be the real one.
To resolve this, Mereoleona sets them both on fire — the real Asta is filled with Anti-Magic that will prevent him from getting injured by the fire. This is how the three will find out in “Black Clover” episode 89 that the copycat is actually Rhya and will come out of the fire with serious wounds.
However, Rhya will be able to heal himself and gain enough strength to taunt Mereoleona for her royal blood and execute several magic power moves that he copied from Yami. Zora and Asta will appreciate Mereoleona even more in “Black Clover” episode 89 for her ability to easily dodge Rhya’s attacks.
Meanwhile, the preview of “Black Clover” episode 89 actually does not focus on the Royal Knights. It features a sequence with Gordon, Gray, and Gauche back at the Black Bulls hideout. The three thinks it is going to be a slow day without any mission to work on until members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun Valtos, Rades, and Sally appears.
Based on the scenes included in the “Black Clover” episode 89 preview, anime fans will witness another fight situated in the Black Bulls hideout. The next episode will be released on Tuesday, June 25.
