Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani 2018: Miranda Lambert’s Ex Rumored to Exit ‘The Voice’ Due to Alleged Fallout with TV Execs over Ladylove

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met in “The Voice” as coaches. The former has been on the show since season 1 while the latter joined for only three seasons.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani confirmed their dating status in late 2015 and since then, the two have been inseparable. In fact, their relationship seems to have become even stronger, with the country singer even becoming very close to Stefani’s three sons.

In any case, there were rumors that Blake Shelton is leaving “The Voice.” Although this story has been going on for a while now yet he is still around, it was said that this time, he might really say goodbye to the show.

So, why would he leave and not want to stay until the end? As per Radar Online, Blake Shelton and “The Voice” executives are not on good terms. It was alleged that the reason for the tiff was his dearest Gwen Stefani.

The tabloid stated that at the time when rumors about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani started, “The Voice” execs told the pair that they would be given a big bonus if they showed some PDA on TV. Allegedly, the execs thought that sensationalizing their romance was a good strategy to gain more viewers.

However, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani do not have time to play with them and refused to follow the order, and this created friction, according to so-called insiders. It was said that the falling-out got worse when in season 12, “The Voice” did not hire Gwen Stefani back and, instead, she was replaced by Miley Cyrus.

“Blake threw a fit when he found out that Gwen was not going to return and that she was replaced by Miley and he has been super resentful ever since,” the source supposedly told Radar Online.

Then again, it seems there are still other reasons why Blake Shelton might leave. According to The Hollywood Gossip, the producers would not mind if he left because he was said to have turned into a diva, whose behavior is rough when the camera is not rolling.

"He is a crybaby if he doesn’t get his own way and he barks orders at people," the source shared via THG.

In another report, there seems to be some positive reason why he would like to bow out of the show and it is not connected to Gwen Stefani. Radar Online reported that it was because Blake Shelton wants to focus on his music again. Interestingly, it was added that he wants David Lee Roth to replace him as the judge. Blake Shelton has neither confirmed nor denied the new rumors.
